On Friday March 9th, the Netherlands’ largest volunteering initiative, NLdoes, took place once again! We felt that this was a great opportunity to put our philosophy of Corporate Social Responsibility into practice at nursing home Hanseheerd Brinkhoven in Heerde. Our task was to spruce up the exercise garden and the terrace, doing things such as gardening, cleaning chairs, varnishing tables, and decorating the place with plants.
A group of 10 Van der Most co-workers, the composition of which varied throughout the day, spent the whole day shovelling, polishing, raking, sanding, etc. We had a lot of fun, and the Hanzeheerd residents were clearly enjoying themselves as well!
Apart from lots of hard work, we also had the opportunity to sit down for a nice lunch and celebrated with a high tea/high beer at the end of the day 😉
